I can’t believe that a month has passed since I last blogged.
Between work and a new baby, there doesn’t seem time to even just breathe.
Applications have been streaming in and we’re hard at work first dealing with 11 possible Spring transfer students, and then onto the candidates for Fall admissions.
We’re very pleased that our application is online and that we’ve upgraded our technology use considerably here at the UJ. We hope to continue to do more of that.
In the meantime, Baby Clara keeps growing. She’s now getting close to 8lbs. which means I can soon try her in the Baby Bjorn. Very exciting stuff for Daddy! We’ve started to become more adventurous in terms of leaving the house and exposing Clara to the outside world. She’s traveled to Hakata for 2 sushi dinners now, been shopping one afternoon with Mommy and Bubbe, come to her first Tish, the monthly musical Shabbat service that I play and sing in at Beth Shir Sholom, and even made a brief appearance at Bob Packham’s 60th birthday “cootenanny” yesterday.
We think she’s going through a growth spurt now, as her newborn diapers are beginning to get more snug and her desire to feed has reached every 2 hours during the day as opposed to 3 hour increments of the past.
And of course Clara seems to be winning the race of who has the most Chanukah presents on the table waiting to be opened. Go figure.
So that’s the news from here.
Happy Holidays to everyone,
Daddy Matt
